Among all mental health professionals, clinical psychologists have the most comprehensive education and training in the biological, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of human functioning.
My doctoral program at George Mason University included intensive study of and hands-on training in psychotherapy theories and techniques, psychological assessment, and diagnosis. Working with diverse patients in a variety of settings (clinics, schools, and a multicultural community mental health agency) prepared me to provide effective treatments for a wide range of difficulties.
I stay informed about current research findings and regularly participate in continuing education courses and workshops. As well, I belong to the American Psychological Association (APA), APA’s Division of Psychologists in Independent Practice, and APA’s Division of Trauma Psychology.
I’m licensed as a Psychologist and certified as a Health Services Provider Psychologist by the North Carolina Psychology Board. You may verify my licensure status by visiting the Board’s website: www.ncpsychologyboard.org.
Wellspring Psychological Services is not a group practice. I am the sole owner and practitioner. Other therapists share the office suite where I work, but we are all independent practitioners and operate separate businesses.
